Implementing safety policies and procedures to address issues such as fire safety, alcohol and drug abuse prevention, sexual assault prevention, and campus security. Conducting training and awareness programs to educate students, faculty, and staff about safety protocols and resources available.
Campus Security
Maintaining a visible campus security presence, including campus police or security officers, surveillance systems, and emergency call boxes. Implementing access control measures and security patrols to deter crime and ensure a safe environment.
Food Safety
Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and standards in dining facilities and food service operations on campus. Providing information on food allergies and dietary restrictions, as well as promoting healthy eating options.
Health Promotion and Wellness Programs
Offering programs and initiatives to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being among students and staff. This may include fitness programs, stress management workshops, substance abuse prevention programs, and initiatives to promote healthy lifestyle choices.
Environmental Health and Safety
Monitoring environmental factors that may affect health and safety on campus, such as air quality, water quality, and hazardous materials. Implementing measures to mitigate risks and ensure a safe and healthy environment.
Infectious Disease Prevention
Implementing measures to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, including vaccination campaigns, hygiene promotion, and outbreak response protocols. Collaborating with public health authorities to monitor and manage health risks on campus.
